Time to shine!
One of the things I love most about hearing a person's story is that often it has been lost in the dense weave
of his or her life. When I hear the story for the first time--I mean, really hear it--I reflect that story back through my lens.
The exhibit had original pieces from legendary artists such as Picasso, Matisse, and Van Gogh.
I said to my friend, "What an incredible experience seeing all that art with a former New York, Soho-based painter."
"Wow, you make me sound so interesting!"
I have three decades of wildly diverse life and work experiences that help me connect to a wide array of people.
I have worked in TV and radio. I studied Creative Writing for 2 years before changing to a BSc in Geography and Environmental Studies. After university, I worked as a marine naturalist and as a fisheries observer on trawlers. Environmental nonprofits, eco-businesses, and ESL classrooms have all benefited from my hard work.
I lived in Asia for three years. I have taught yoga. I practiced traditional Thai massage for 5 years.
And I've published poetry. I have explored a number of personal interests,
and I'd be comfortable writing for anyone who specializes in these areas.
I write bios because I find inspiration in people.
I write bios because I know you are
as brilliant in words as you are in person.

Not only did Coreen help to make my bio more cohesive but also the process helped me clarify who I was in business. She took the content I had and pulled it together, making the story of where I have been and where I am going become more clear to both myself and my client.

Coreen has a natural ability to write bios. Her process found inner qualities I didn't even know I had. Not only does she have the technical knowledge to find any grammatical error but she also has the artistic skill to bring a plain bio to life with just the right tone for the audience.

It was a real pleasure working with Coreen. She is prompt, courteous, and efficient. She did my bio. She interviewed me and listened well. She was attentive and was able to capture the essence of who I am and my work. She found words to my thoughts—thoughts that I’ve been struggling with for years to put into words. She worked in a timely manner and delivered the bio when she said she would. She is generous and goes that ‘extra’ mile in terms of customer service. Thank you, Coreen.
